The Gate - St. Andrews by the Sea 11 x 15 inches In behind the town of St. Andrews by-the-Sea is a cemetery. This painting is of the gates at the entrance to that cemetery. Some of the tombstones date back to the 1700's.    

The Mist 11 x 15 inches Fog was a common weather condition in the Bay of Fundy. It kept the watercolour paper damp and difficult to paint on. In this instance the fog is creeping in from the top third of the painting enveloping the boat and the fishing weir.    

Evergreens and Rocks 11 x 14 inches There is a subtle contrast of colour in this painting. The red/purple sand versus the green/yellow grass and foliage.    

Lobster Traps 11 x 15 inches I can't recall the name of the village in New Brunswick where I painted this scene. It could be any number of towns along the Bay of Fundy coast.    

Evergreen Peak, New Brunswick 11 x 15 inches I painted this picture in my first summer out east. It was a very hot day. I found a shaded part in the bush to set up shop and paint.    

Covered Bridge, New Brunswick 11 x 15 inches New Brunswick in known for it's wooden covered bridges. I found this one outside of St. Andrews by the Sea. The evergreen trees in the background are draped in fog. The fog kept the watercolour paper damp giving the painting a blurry feel to it.

Carriage Trail, Ministers Island, NB 22 x 30 inches Outside of the town of St. Andrews is Ministers Island. This island can be reached by crossing the bar road. This road is only accessible at low tide. The painting I did is of the carriage trail that circles the island. On the island is the historic Sir William Van Horne 

Lobster Traps, Grand Manan Island, NB 15 x 22 inches The abstract quality of the of the buildings, windows, lobster traps and docks on stilts is what attracted me to paint this scene.    

Boy Fishing on Dock, Grand Manan Island, NB 15 x 15 inches I painted this picture as the sun was setting on this little town on the west side of Grand Manan Island.
